As Coco Chanel said, “a woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls.” I can’t get enough of Coco Chanel and her classic style, so when I came across this quote as I was brainstorming for this inspiration shoot, I envisioned a beautiful bride draped in ropes of pearls. I’m so glad that vision became a reality even better than I imagined. I love integrating vintage and classic elements and putting a modern twist on it and using pearls was such an easy way to bring these two aesthetics together.

I’ve always loved pearls and the beauty in their simplicity. They are so timeless, and they bring such elegance to any look, especially a wedding gown. The Rust Manor House was the perfect wedding venue to tie all of these elements together. The tableware from Something Vintage Rentals gave us that vintage feels that we were looking for and they complemented the beautiful spring flowers by Cedar & Lime Co. The string of pearls by Mangan Jewelers was the perfect touch to the bride’s modern wedding gown from Fabulous Frocks DC. Everything came together so well to put a modern twist on such a classic gem.
