The day before the big day is also a very special time. A time when your close family and friends are arriving and are delighted to begin the wedding celebrations! This inspiration shoot centers around the night before the big day, the rehearsal dinner.

Gatsby rehearsal dinner

The rehearsal dinner is often overlooked – a time when the bride and groom can take edgy chances, mix styles and genres, and take a few fashion risks. A well-designed rehearsal dinner can give your guests a glimpse into what’s to come. The night before the big day is a time to celebrate the anticipation. This shoot features just such a bride and groom who wants a rehearsal dinner infused with both of their eclectic styles. His industrial, modern edge and Hers vintage Arte Deco glamour. It all begins with the space. A long, industrial warehouse demands a long dramatic table. The beautiful linen from Nuage Linens provided the color and the high Arte Deco Vibe. The place settings were a mix of black, white, and gold featuring an etched metal menu with a laser cut velvet paper jacket. A stunning line of crystal chandeliers and crystal candelabras with impossibly long black tapered candles adding glamour and the drama. Lush florals provided soft layers of texture. In the lounge area, the drama and the art deco elements continue. Behind the sofa is a Beautiful decoupage wallpaper wall, a unique alternative to a flower wall that is simple to create. The champagne bar is a perfect introduction into our rehearsal dinner and a memorable way to greet your guests. The champagne bar also serves as the escort card station. What could be better than finding your escort card and a tall glass of bubbly?! Adding florals and greenery in a stylish take on a floral wall, the cake table design echoes the wallpaper element. The amazingly and exquisitely detailed cake has a fresh take on unmistakable Arte Deco design. All this detail is balanced with beautiful black matte sequin linen (that looks a little like liquid leather) and a simple cake stand. Every detail is infused with great style and finesse. It is formal yet fun. Elegant yet fresh and modern. It sets the stage for a weekend of celebration and anticipation for what is to come. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow for the I Dos – but, the evening before is a time to celebrate that anticipation.
